Changes...


I believe that education is an area that must be in constant change. The world is dynamic, there are always new problems or needs that must be solved, so it's important to always update the curriculum of the career, because today something may be necessary, but in the future it may be obsolete. For the same reason, I think that it isn't right to have the same curriculum for years, when you have to train professionals that are in tune with the environment, so the people in charge of the programs should always be studying and modifying according to the professionals that are needed and will be needed.

I also think that the professional careers in Chile are very long. In USA, for example, the programs are usually short, and they train professionals with the same or more competencies than Chileans. In addition to that, they have some of the best universities in the world. They are a clear example that studying a thousand years a career doesn't form better professionals, only lengthens the suffering.

It's also important to include new technologies in the curriculum, since today everything is dominated by technology. In the case of our career, food Engineering, it's important to know all the tools that facilitate the processes of food, since nowadays everything is automated and everything is done with specialised machinery.

For that, is important that teachers keep abreast of new processes and technologies, as it is common to see teachers who teach and apply the same processes in the same way for years, when there are technological advances and new studies that can change everything they know.

In general, I think the changes that should be made is to reduce the duration of the career and to make known all the technological tools that exist or could be created to facilitate the work of all, for this it's of vital importance to have an infrastructure and laboratories that are in accordance with the times in which we are living, and that are not outdated.

Best concert

Some years ago, I enjoyed the best concert ever,  ever.  I saw One Direction, an english-irish boy band that was formed in 2010, in the tv show  the x factor . They gave two concerts at the Estadio Nacional in May 2014, but I could not buy tickets, so I was really sad. But three days before the first concert, i participated in a contest, and the day before the concert i found out that I won the contest. I was really happy, cause I had never won anything. I went with my friend Valentina, and we felt really awkward, cause we were the oldest.  Most of the fans were little girls with their parents. But we had a good time, even with all the girls screaming.  We sang all the song, and the day after we could not talk.   One of the members lefts the band after that tour, and the rest took a hiatus in 2015. I am glad that I had the opportunity to saw them before the split, but at the same time, I am  still waiting they reunites again, so I can have another extraordinary day.

English Language Challenges...

My experience learning English at university has been quite interesting. The truth is that this is my first semester studying at university and I did not know what I expected. I have memories of my school classes where everything was very monotonous and boring, but in general so far this semester, I had a good experience. The classes are entertaining and dynamic, with games that make learning more fun. I think the use of blogs also helps a lot, since it is also a dynamic way to improve our skills in written communication. Besides, blogs allowing us to express our opinions and thoughts on various issues and know what others think about it. I think I have to improve my English in all aspects, mostly in terms of pronunciation. I still have a hard time communicating. In the last few years, nanotechnology has become an important technique that has been invest in so many different fields. One of them is the food industry, they even have their own name Nano-food. In this business, the nano-particles can be used in different aspects, from the beginning to the end of the process. They are used in cultivation, in production, even in packaging.  One of the most useful investigations uses nano-particles to clean the water. They introduced micro-particles, like titanium dioxide that works as cleaners. This nano-scavengers (how they are called) can destroy or adhere to the contaminant agent and make them disappear.
